Participant Waiver and Release of Liability

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that participation in the Light The Night (“the Event”), including but not limited to walking, standing for extended periods, participation in light or fire-based attractions, vendor interactions, musical performances, and crowd environments, involves inherent risks which may result in injury, illness, or property damage. These risks include, but are not limited to, falls, crowd congestion, loud noise, heat or weather-related incidents, allergic reactions, burns, and accidents involving lighting displays or temporary structures.

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all risks associated with my participation.

2. Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Event, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby release, waive, and discharge the event organizers, sponsors, vendors, performers, volunteers, property owners, and affiliates of Light The Night, including its officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, “the Released Parties”), from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or in connection with my participation in the Event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Medical Treatment and Insurance

I authorize the Event to provide or seek emergency medical treatment if necessary and understand that I am responsible for all associated costs. I affirm that I carry adequate health insurance or am financially responsible for any medical costs incurred.

4. Media Release

I grant Light The Night and its partners the right to use my name, image, likeness, voice, and appearance in any photographs, videos, or media coverage of the Event for promotional, marketing, or archival purposes, without compensation or further permission.

5. Conduct and Compliance

I agree to abide by all Event rules, posted signage, and instructions provided by Event staff or security personnel. I understand that inappropriate behavior, intoxication, harassment, or failure to follow safety guidelines will result in removal from the premises without refund and potential legal action.

6. Minors

If I am signing on behalf of a minor under the age of 18, I certify that I am their parent or legal guardian, and I accept full responsibility for their participation under the terms of this waiver.

7. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, and any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction therein.
